WINONA, MN — Goodson Tools & Supplies for Engine Builders has introduced a new and improved version of the Hyper-Finish Valve Guide Diamond Sizing System.

The new system, called the Black Diamond Valve Guide Sizing System is now manufactured using CNC technology to provide greater accuracy and consistency. Mandrels are now fabricated from black anodized hard plated steel and the diamond abrasives are CNC electroplated. According to Mike Rose, Goodson purchasing department, “All of the new tooling is compatible with the HF-100 Drive Head, and we’re happy to say the new replacement abrasives will fit the original-style mandrels.”

The Black Diamond Valve Guide Sizing System is available for guides from .193” to .389” (4.9mm to 9.9mm). This tooling is available by the size or as a kit that includes four mandrel assemblies (.271” to 3.89” Range), a drive head, four nylon bristle valve guide brushes and an eight ounce bottle of Diamond Honing Oil.
