It can be a challenge to drive each and every valve guide in to exactly the same height. That's why Goodson offers the Adjustable Powered Valve Guide Driver with Replaceable Pilots. The adjustable installation sleeve allows you to adjust the guide height from 0" to 1-1/4". The locking nut is then tightened to prevent the installation sleeve from moving. Once you've standardized the correct installed height on one guide, you can quickly and confidently repeat it on all of the others. We recommend using thread locker on the pilot to resist loosening while in use.
This tool is made of 4140 CRS heat treated to 40-45 Rc and is 6-1/2" long overall. Screw-in pilots have 5/16" -18 threads.
