Creating the IRN-RC
The IRN-RC was developed to allow engineers of closed wheel cars an accurate and integrated solution for tyre temperature measurement.
The package can be tailored to customer requirements with between 3 and 8 sensing eyes and the distance between the eyes is also adjustable.
Based on a flexible membrane strip, the IRN-RC can be used in a linear installation, or as with MotoGP, curved around the swingarm to measure the complete useable contact patch of the tyre.
As with all Texense products, the IRN-RC is carefully hand-made and tested in-house at our facility in Nevers, France.
It is offered in two variations – the first with a typical CAN repeater for a totally wired installation, however as an option we can offer a wireless enabled version using our GenWm receiver.
