They include the addition of practical new features (FW/SW), improvements on the performance and also the resolution/fixes of minor bugs (you can find these inside the PLEX Device Manager SW release notes).

1. Custom Page Layouts & Colour Themes

You can now create your own page layouts and preferred colour theme, very easily, via the PLEX Device Manager. How does it work? You choose from array of existing display objects (gauges, bar graphs, various size numerals, status indicators, etc) and with drag-n-drop you arrange them on the empty display page grid. Then assign the corresponding data parameters and can also define your own colour theme. Currently, on the SDM-700, one can create up to 24 different custom pages and on the SDM-300 and SDM-500, up to 4 custom pages. For the SDM-700, each page can get up to 32 display objects from a selection of 16 different graphical objects and for the SDM-300 & SDM-500 each page can get up to 24 objects from a selection of 12 different graphical objects. We keep adding display objects all the time, so that you will have even more options in the future.
2. OEM Style Icons and Street Legal Page Layout
More than 20 OEM style icons to choose from and add to your custom pages as well as a Street Legal Page Layout.
3. Custom OBD PIDs
A new OBD configuration and decoding system has been added that allows standard and extended OEM PIDS to be easily defined with configurable priorities. What’ the use? When connecting the Dash Displays to stock ECUs a pro-tuner can identify key data channels that are not transmitted by the standard OBDII protocol and configure the PLEX displays to receive and display them. Note: the utilisation of this feature requires special diagnostic and tuning knowledge.
4. Help Files for all our PLEX Displays and for the PLEX Device Manager
We have now placed all “HELP” files on the same spot, inside the PLEX Device Manager so that you have quick and easy access. The Help files are automatically updated with additional content with every new FW/SW release.
5. New Page Layouts for the uSDM Micro Displays
Three very useful new layouts have now been added as options for the uSDM-100 and uSDM-102 Pro Micro Displays. In the horizontal mode, there’s one with 4 numeric values & a large gear indicator and another with one channel rolling chart/graph. In the vertical mode, we added a layout with 4 bar graphs.

PLEX Device Manager SW
- Receive/Send Real Time Values from/to devices
– A real time value table of all data channels can be displayed to assist in setup and troubleshooting
– Fixed values for any CAN or RS232 channel can be sent to the device for simulation purposes
- Export Log Files as .csv for use in Excel or other analysis software packages
- The tracks database has been extended to contain more than 1500 tracks around the world
- In custom track setup the user can easily select positions in Bing Maps and transfer them to the configuration
- The Configuration Report has been improved with more checks for possible configuration errors and is now always displayed when a problem is detected.

- Lap Timing with Beacon: it is now possible to show and record lap times using an infrared beacon receiver connected to input 4 (uSDM-102 only)
