We were interested to see how well this new product performed, so we set up simple test of our own.  We made up a VR-12 and tap water mix and put a set of identical metals in this solution and a second set in straight tap water.

The pictures below the difference after only 8 weeks at ambient temperature. Using distilled water would reduce the reaction caused by any impurities in the water, but would not stop the corrosion.

What these pictures don’t show is the thick silty rust particles developing in the water only container which no doubt would begin to clog up a radiator.
