Welding and Fabricating using exotic alloys

With over 20 years of experience welding and fabricating using exotic alloys, SST Technology, part of the Polar Technology Group has applied its expertise to a wide selection of safety critical applications with great success. 

Example applications include winch and weapon frames for helicopters to roll over protection devices for military vehicles. 

More recently the integrity and workmanship from SST has proven itself on a global stage. As the only UK approved manufactured of the FIA Halo device found on high performance open cockpit racecars including Formula One, the device has saved drivers from serious injury or worse since its introduction in 2018.

The welded grade 5 titanium structure is manufactured from precise machined and fabricated components welded and controlled against a stringent inhouse developed processes. Many of these processes are used across a number of other Aerospace and Defence based applications.
