Memphis, TN – Increase valve train stability in GM 6.6L Duramax Diesel engines with these 7/16” diameter pushrods from COMP Cams®.
The new COMP Cams® Hi-Tech™ Pushrods for GM 6.6L Duramax Diesel Engines are the perfect pushrods for engines running higher than stock boost pressure, upgraded valve springs or aggressive camshafts. The 7/16” diameter tube with .120" wall thickness is much stiffer than the stock pushrod for improved valve train stability at higher RPM and under higher boost/spring/cylinder pressures.
The three-piece pushrod design allowsfor two different materials to be used – one for the tubing and another for the tips. Heat-treated 4130 was selected for the tubing due to its excellent compressive strength and strength-to-weight ratio. The tips are CNC-machined from 86L20 for incredible wear resistance due to its toughness. Each pushrod features a 12mm ball top end and 12mm bottom cup end with oiling holes – perfect matches to the OEM design that will allow these pushrods to work perfectly with stock or upgraded valve train components.
