SOUTHHALL, MIDDLESEX, UK – Muirhead Avionics, a unit of AMETEK Aerospace & Defense, now has full MRO capability for Mark V Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning Systems (EGPWS) from Honeywell International. This is a significant addition to Muirhead’s capabilities, and, despite being a relatively recent addition, Muirhead already has received units into its facility for MRO servicing. Developed for digital-avionics-installed aircraft, the Mark V EGPWS was designed to enhance flight crew’s awareness of terrain and wind shear, effectively reducing pilot’s workload in the event of terrain alerts.
