Ionbond is proud to announce another ‘first’ – this time, by introducing our latest large-volume PVD coating platform in the new Cambiago Coating Center. This is the first large-volume PVD system for Ionbond Italy. The new coating platform will extend the center’s already well-established PVD capabilities into the decorative PVD coating market, which has been set up in the new section in the new facility at Ionbond Cambiago.

The new coating platform can deliver a wide range of premium decorative PVD coating colors, including black-black (deep black or piano black), black/anthracite, smokey gray, stainless steel, nickel, brass and gold. These decorative PVD coatings can be used on substrates including acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) plastics, zinc, brass and stainless steel.

Italian customers have been asking us to start supplying high-end decorative PVD coatings out of Italy, with the same quality and consistency as we do for the other parts of the world. So far, customers looking for decorative PVD coatings were mostly supplied out of Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. To meet local demand, the logical step was to set up a decorative PVD coating line in Italy, ready to serve the famous Italian design market with PVD coatings.”
