New! Thermal Switches for Fans and Fluid Pumps

Part # LTS-XXX

Improved Racing's thermally activated switch will turn on an electric fan or electric differential / transmission pump when fluid reaches the activation temp of 180°F, 190°F, or 200°F. These switches are a great way to control fluid temperatures without using a thermostat.

The switch's body is made from brass, which has a high rate of thermal conductivity for quick reactions to changes in temperature.

The switch features a standard 1/8" NPT thread for screwing into an existing sensor port or a sensor tee. It is rated for up to 10 amps at 12 volts.

Function

  • When the activation temperature is reached at the probe, the switch will complete a circuit between the two spade connectors.
  • When the temperature at the probe drops to the deactivation temperature, the switch will open the circuit between the two spade connectors.

Installation Notes

  • Higher amperage devices (over 10A) require the use of a relay.
  • Always wire with a 10A fuse to protect the switch from damage when not using a relay.
