VP INTRODUCES “TANK GUARDIAN™” DIESEL CONTAMINATION PREVENTION SYSTEM

System Prevents Water-Related Problems and Conditions Fuel

VP INTRODUCES “TANK GUARDIAN™” DIESEL CONTAMINATION PREVENTION SYSTEM

SAN ANTONIO, TX (November 8, 2017) Many owners and operators of diesel equipment have experienced clogged filters, poor engine performance and subpar mileage due to water and other contaminants in their fuel.  Such problems are costly and at worst, render equipment inoperable.  Fortunately, these problems can now be easily prevented with a revolutionary new system introduced by industry leader VP Racing Fuels.  The system includes a “Tank Snake™” Water Absorber paired with its specifically designed “Diesel Armor™” Fuel Conditioner additive.

VP’s Tank Snake is designed to quickly remove water, salt water, DEF or antifreeze from the bottom of storage diesel fuel tanks.  It’s perfect for large commercial tanks, mobile or small diesel equipment such as generators or construction equipment, as well as any vehicle. VP Racing Fuel’s Tank Snake is available in a variety of sizes to fit any size tank.  Once the water has been removed, diesel fuel can be treated with VP’s “Diesel Armor” Fuel Conditioner to ensure ongoing optimum performance.

The Problem
The EPA has mandated that diesel engines equipped with advanced emission control devices (generally, 2007 and later model years) must use highway Ultra-Low Sulphur Diesel (ULSD) fuel.  ULSD fuel results in the presence of higher amounts of water and a reduced ability to hold that water in suspension.  It’s subject to cold weather freezing, increased microbial activity and corrosion.  ULSD is prone to fuel fouling, corrodes fuel system components and is harmful to rubber and plastic.

The impact of ULSD’s attributes on vehicles and other equipment includes frequent diesel particulate filter (DPF) burns, clogged and slimy filters and sludge build-up in tanks.  This in turn causes a loss of power and rpms, excess smoke, corroded injectors, turbo trouble and injector pump failure.  Internal diesel injector deposits reduce fuel economy, increase emissions, cause hard starts and possible engine failure.  The bottom line: Contaminated Fuel = Expensive Repairs.

The Solution
The solution requires the practice of good “fuel hygiene” to ensure a healthy fuel system free of water, particulate matter, and microbial contamination.  It starts with regular use of VP’s “Tank Snake” to remove water and other contaminants.  Subsequent treatment of diesel fuel with VP’s “Diesel Armor” Fuel Conditioner will help stabilize the fuel and prevent further tank contamination.

“VP’s “Tank Guardian” water absorbing/fuel conditioning system is the most effective system on the market for dealing with water related fuel problems,” said Bruce Hendel, VP Racing Fuel’s Vice President, North American Sales – Race Fuel and Consumer Products.  “The potential savings in time and money for owners and operators of diesel equipment are substantial”.
