FORD BDA/BDG ENGINE
This wonderfully versatile engine replaced the Lotus Twin Cam in the Ford RS models after making its debut in the Mk1 Escort in 1970. It was originally conceived as a belt driven version of Cosworths FVA Engine.
DESCRIPTION
A BDA is based on the Ford 1600 Cross-Flow bottom end with a BDG having an Alloy Block. Both are found today in many forms of historic motorsport. We specialise in BDA and the Alloy block BDG both running in Historic Formula 2.
