Oerlikon AM to participate in Formnext additive manufacturing trade fair in Frankfurt

Frankfurt am Main, Germany – November 11, 2019 – Oerlikon AM, the additive manufacturing arm of global technology group Oerlikon, will be exhibiting in Hall 12.1, Booth B01 from November 19 to 22, 2019, at the Formnext additive manufacturing trade fair – a part of the Frankfurt Messe.

On display will be a wide variety of 3D metal printed parts manufactured for the aerospace, automotive, medical, power generation and tooling industries. There will be dedicated stations for each industry, where Oerlikon’s additive manufacturing capabilities and products already in use in those industries will be featured. Visitors can also explore detailed business cases on various projects and parts. This is the first year Oerlikon has included the medical industry in its offering, leveraging the expertise and knowhow from the acquired DiSanto Technologies.

Oerlikon has been working closely with several companies on a number of projects and expects to announce agreements related to materials research, production milestones and digital technology during the event.

Oerlikon’s AM experts will be on hand to discuss the company’s capabilities with customers interested in materials and part production using additive manufacturing. More information on new materials, such as a family of EIGA-produced Ti-6Al-4V powders, will be available. The Oerlikon team is ready to assist customers on solutions for the entire value chain, from the choice of metal powders to design for AM to production and post-processing. Customers may also visit the prototyping area of the booth where they can learn about Oerlikon’s online instant quoting tool and its advanced prototyping capabilities in the US and Germany.

Formnext is one of the world’s premier additive manufacturing trade fairs. It will feature more than 700 exhibitors from around the globe and includes representatives from every part of the additive manufacturing production process.

Come by and see the latest and real-life AM applications at Oerlikon’s booth in Hall 12.1, Booth B01.
