Nicholson McLaren Engines was founded in 1972 by John Nicholson to maintain the Cosworth DFV engines for McLaren Racing. McLaren’s F1 World Championship wins in 1974 and 1976 with their drivers James Hunt and Emerson Fittipaldi were powered by NME. We have the facility to design components, build engines, develop existing engines, manufacture components and maintain or repair competition race engines. We have in house dynamometer test cells with climate control which are available for confidential engine testing only (if required), plus test rigs for dynamic valve train and airflow rigs.
