CRP Technology and CRP Meccanica protagonists at Sachsenring racetrack during round one of the FIM Enel MotoE World

Modena, Italy, 31st July 2019 – CRP Technology and CRP Meccanica made their debut at Sachsenring racetrack during the inaugural weekend of MotoE (5 – 7 July 2019) as Energica technological partners.

The series had been stopped due to the Jerez fire but thanks to the hard work of Energica team and the partners involved, all Ego Corsa motorcycles were rebuilt in less than three months.

The first round of the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup confirmed the all Ego Corsa absolute parity in terms of performance.

"This data – stated Franco Cevolini, CEO and CTO at CRP companies - makes us very proud and pay us back for all the efforts made!

Mounted on all the Ego Corsa machines that have raced on Sachsenring racetrack and that will be racing - commented Cevolini - there are many parts built by CRP companies using additive and subtractive technologies: CRP Technology manufactured some parts via professional 3D printing using Windform® composite materials, CRP Meccanica manufactured many components using high precision CNC machining.

Therefore, CRP Technology and CRP Meccanica’s contribution to MotoE has not been limited to the R&D phase, but to supply Energica with end use components for racing."

Among the many parts manufactured by CRP Technology using Windform® materials and professional 3D printing, there are: some details of the battery pack, the motor terminal cover, transponder holder.

Regarding the parts built by CRP Meccanica through high-precision CNC machining, are to be mentioned, among the many manufactured from solid: some parts in the area of the rear suspension; the battery pack and, for the rotating part of the motor: the crankshaft, the gear cascade, the pinion shaft.

“CRP Meccanica and CRP Technology – added Cevolini - boast more than 50 years of activity in the world of F1 and in the most advanced industry sectors; through our experience and know-how, our motto is: work hard, fast and provide excellent services. But above all, for the key to success it is crucial to understand customer needs before submitting them a solution.

And this is what we done with Energica, when we took sides and supported them in rebuilding all the machines after the Jerez fire.

The results of testing in Valencia (eight days of testing with 80 laps completed each session, for a total of 2208km covered) and the success of the inaugural race of the FIM MotoE World Cup are proven we are on the right path.

CRP do not rest on laurels: we are still working alongside Energica R&D team on the 2020 Ego Corsa machines.”

Round two of the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup will take place at the Red Bull Ring in Austria on 9 - 11 August 2019.
