Renton Coil Spring started business just a few blocks away from Boeing in 1949, quickly becoming a leading spring supplier within the aerospace industry. In a joint venture with The Boeing Company and Douglas Aircraft, RCS developed Beta-C Titanium as a spring material. This important technological development, created opportunities to begin supplying springs to a growing number of state of the art aerospace companies.
