ILA GmbH was founded in 1995 as a small spin-off company of the Berlin Technical University. For years, the company was situated in Jülich, having costumers in the field of LDA and PIV all around the globe. An internal restructuration process showed the potential to separate the two branches (LDA and PIV), to be able to focus more on the respective technology. Therefore, ILA_5150 GmbH was officially founded in April 2016, as the PIV branch of the former ILA GmbH. Due to synergy effects with the academic world and shorter ways in general, we decided to move our offices next to the city center in Aachen, Germany, where we are situated ever since.
